Donations for the Victims
Posted May 16, 2013
The Family Crisis Center is a non profit organization that is dedicated to serving victims of Domestic Violence and their families. We provided shelter to 201 individuals in 2012. This means we provided food, clothing, household items, paper towels, toilet paper, baby diapers, baby formula, personal care items, and cleaning supplies to each of these individuals during their stay at the shelter. Along with many other items those are a few of the essentials that we use daily. We would greatly appreciate any donations of these items and any other items that you may use in your home on a daily basis. Any size donation is appreciated. If you are not quite sure what to buy we also accept monetary donations that we can use to help purchase items for the shelter and/or the victims living here. If you have any further questions on when, where and how to donate please contact the Family Crisis Center at 706-375-7180 and any one of our advocates will be happy to assist you in answering your questions.
The Family Crisis Center Teen Room
Posted May 16, 2013
The staff at the Family Crisis Center would like to thank all of the members of the Walker County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class 2012/2013 who volunteered their time in painting and decorating a room designated for the older children at the Family Crisis Center. This will give them a space of their own to hangout, do homework, watch television, listen to music, and play video games.
